Annie Elizabeth Spahr Luckenbaugh

ANNIE ELIZABETH SPAHR and Samuel Luckenbaugh were married on September 9, 1911. Annie was born April 26, 1864 to David and Catherine Zinn Spahr of Dover Township and was christened June 29, 1864. Due to her mother’s early death, she stayed with her father until the time of his death in 1910. She occupied her time with rug hooking and quilting. When she and her father moved from the farm to Big Mount, she took a load of things in the sleigh and upset it on the way.

She married Samuel Luckenbaugh on September 9, 1911. They lived in Big Mount in her father’s home. Samuel farmed a farm nearby. He was born in Adams County and was previously married. He died at Big Mount. Annie died at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 2 days. They are both buried in Lischey’s Union Cemetery, York County, Pennsylvania.
